Brad Fisher & Kyle Whitsitt of SEACON, Speaking at MTS TechSurge
Brad Fisher (Western Regional Sales Manager) and Kyle Whitsitt (Project Manager) of SEACON will be speaking at the forthcoming MTS TechSurge event being held at the Town and Country Resort and Convention Center, San Diego, California, USA from the 6th – 7th March, 2014.
They will be presenting a Co-Authored paper titled ‘The Changing Landscape of the Subsea Connector Industry’
Please see the below abstract from their paper…
This paper will discuss many of the recent changes in the Subsea Connector industry; current operating environment, data requirements and industry standards have put huge demands on the connector industry. Successful manufacturers have had to adapt to these changing demands in order to satisfy customer needs.
This paper will present many of the challenges that connector manufacturers face as our customers install equipment deeper into the ocean and leave it for much longer periods of time. This equipment is much more sophisticated and has very different data transmission requirements than ever before. In addition, different industries have their own governing standards which must be met for systems to be certified.
The connector supplier is no longer just a key vendor to any subsea project. They must be considered a trusted team member during the development of any new system to help prevent costly errors and delays.
