Leighton Mauro of SEACON’s Gulf Coast Sales Office, Speaking at Underwater Intervention
Leighton Mauro of SEACON’s Gulf Coast Sales office will be one of the speakers at the forthcoming Underwater Intervention conference and exhibition being held in New Orleans, Louisiana from 11th to 13th February, 2014. Leighton will be presenting a paper titled Meeting the Connectorization needs of HD Cameras and other High Bandwidth Systems.
Please see below abstract from Leighton’s Paper…
As with many systems, there are multiple ways to transmit signals and HD camera systems are no exception. Dependent on the camera specification and system requirements the connectors can be as basic as a standard multi-pin electrical connector or as challenging as hybrid opto-electrical connector. In the subsea market there is the added challenge of the environment and also typically space limitations as HD cameras are becoming a standard installation on many ROV’s. It is therefore essential that the connector is designed to meet not only the needs of the environment, but also the needs of the particular camera design and the cable selection. As this market grows, SEACON has developed many connector solutions, to meet this wide ranging and ever growing set of requirements. We will explore some of the challenges that have been encountered as we see the growth of HD cameras in our market.
