New Product Developments

SEA CON® Global Production (SGP) has developed several new products in recent months. These include a wet-mate version of the popular RMA Rubber Molded connector series. The RMA-1#16-FS/MP has the same specifications as the traditional dry-mate connector but is suitable for mating in wet conditions.

With ever increasing inquiries for connectors to be used for Ethernet applications and our continuous program of specifying suitable connectors from our standard range for use on these systems, SGP has identified the ALL-WET AW-1/54-MP/BC and AW-2/54-MP/BC utilizing CAT5 cable as a suitable candidate for Ethernet connectivity providing data transmission up to 100 Mbps at 1,450 psi.

In addition, the MINI-CON MING-10 connector has also been rated to 1Gbps, up to 90m cable length, 16,000 psi/1200 bar and a right angled version of the erjjbo HUML connector rated to 1Gbps, up to 90m cable length, 10,000 psi/690 bar. Additional testing is on-going on a variety of other products for Ethernet use.

SGP has produced a metal shell version of it’s highly successful Micro WET-CON series. The MC-BH-M/F connector body is manufactured from Neoprene with a 316 Stainless Steel shell and brass gold plated contacts. Suitable for a variety of heavy duty applications and compatible with other industry standard connectors, this new version is pressure rated to 10,000 psi with a voltage rating of 300 VDC and is currently available with 10 or 12 contacts, although new configurations are due to be added shortly. Many special types of these connectors have been produced by SEA CON® over the years, therefore please contact SGP for any standard catalogue requirements or specific and OEM applications.
